Couples Counseling

In couples counseling, the focus is on the relationship and learning to identify your own contributions to the dynamics of the relationship. Improving your ability to communicate your wants, needs and expectations creates a more loving relationship. It is our belief that we teach others how to treat us. When we recognize where our true power lies, which is in changing ourselves rather than the other person, we start to experience a more trusting, loving, and intimate relationship.

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling is a process of healing and growth. Our past influences who we are in both positive and negative ways. By engaging in individual counseling we can heal the pains and sufferings from the past. Depending on the extent of the injuries it can take a short period of time or for deeper wounds it can take longer. In either event, the healing of the old wounds allows us to grow and become the healthy and loving person we want to be.

Family Counseling

While group counseling is the most intimidating form of counseling for most people, it is also the most powerful and effective form of counseling. Why? Because it puts us in a social context where most of our issues and fears arise. And it allows us to address them with the help of a therapist in a way that enables us to break our patterns rather than repeating them. Groups also have the power to heal old family wounds in that the group often becomes a corrective “family” experience.
